FORT STEWART, Georgia, USA (AP) – Three soldiers were killed on Sunday and three others were injured after the vehicle they were traveling in turned and fell into the water during training in Fort Stewart, Georgia, US military authorities said.
The accident occurred around 3:20 a.m. on Sunday, officials from the 3rd Infantry Division of the Fort Stewart-Hunter Military Airfield said in a statement, in which they did not reveal additional details or the identity of the victims.
The soldiers were members of the Combat Team of the 1st Armored Brigade and were traveling aboard a Bradley combat vehicle.RELATED
The three injured were evacuated and taken to a military hospital, where two of them were discharged after receiving medical attention, the army said. The third was transferred to another hospital, although the injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
