A Shooting At a Long Beach House Leaves At Least Three Dead And 9 Injured

(CNN) – Shots at a Long Beach home leave at least three dead and 9 injured who were taken to the hospital, according to information from the Long Beach Fire Department via Twitter.

“At 10:44 pm, the Long Beach Fire Department responded to the shooting at a residence in the 2700 block of 7th Street. A mass victim incident (MCI) was declared with a total of 12 patients 3 confirmed deaths (adult men) 9 patients transported to local hospitals. 5 immediate and 4 delayed ”.

The 12 victims of the shooting were shot, some of the injured have serious injuries.

The Long Beach Police Department responded at 10:45 pmPT (1:45 amET) to the 2700 block of East 7th Street, police said.

There was a party at the house, where some of the attendees were in disguise, police spokeswoman Karen Owens told CNN.

The range of injuries is life threatening or non-fatal, he said. All victims are adults. There may be other victims who transported themselves to hospitals, but that is not known at this time. There is no description of the suspect who fled the scene, according to Owens.

Homicide detectives are still on the scene.
