A Thief Jumps Twice a 12-foot Fence To Flee The Maryland Police

Maryland – A robbery suspect jumped a 12-foot-high fence twice in the middle of a police chase in Maryland before being captured, authorities said.

The event occurred on October 19 in the town of Silver Spring when Steven Anderson, 56, jumped the fence after being chased by police and police dogs, Montgomery County Police reported.

When the subject saw that other police officers were waiting for him on the other side, he climbed the structure again, police said in a statement.

The high jump record is just over 8 feet, the Washington Post reports, so it is unlikely that Anderson jumped the fence in one fell swoop. It is not clear how he climbed it.

The court records do not mention any lawyer so you can testify on behalf of Anderson.
