Aaron Judge Could Undergo Surgery

After several days of exams and uncertainty, Aaron Judge’s diagnosis was already confirmed by New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone.

The bad news continues to increase and get worse for the Yankees. This time, Aaron Boone confirmed that one of his star players, Aaron Judge, has a stress fracture in the first right rib.

Judge’s injury, which has not played in any training match during Spring Training, will leave him out of the Opening Day of the season.

The most serious diagnosis is that the organization does not rule out that the outfielder should undergo surgery, which would undoubtedly put him out during the 2020 campaign.

Aaron Boone explained that surgery to remove the rib is a possibility if the bone fails to heal. “It shows signs of healing, so we will give it the next two weeks and then we will reassess to show how much the rib is healing with a CT scan,” said Los Mulos manager.

Judge underwent a series of exams after presenting a pain in the chest and shoulder. It is now known that it was caused by a fracture that, according to MLB journalists – Major Leagues, was caused by stress.

In this regard, Boone also said it was a “difficult diagnosis” and added that he believes the injury occurred during September last year, when Judge threw himself to catch the ball.

Although Judge is undoubtedly one of the key players of the Yankees, it is not the only concern of the team. Other infallible players for the roster will also start the 2020 season on the disabled list: James Paxton, Aaron Hicks, Giancarlo Stanton and Luis Severino.

Will there be an extension of Judge’s contract with Los Mulos after this diagnosis?
