Amazon says that, because of the president of the United States, he lost a contract with the Department of Defense of $ 10,000 million, according to Mashable.
All this was learned after a complaint filed by the online sales company was released on Monday, explaining that he lost the contract of a government project called JEDI, due to the “inappropriate pressure of President Donald J. Trump, who launched public attacks to harm his political enemy Jeffrey P. Bezos, founder and CEO of the AWS parent company, Amazon.com, Inc. ('Amazon') and owner of the Washington Post. ”
This project, which had to do with the Pentagon computer system, was awarded to Microsoft last October, but Amazon immediately appealed the decision. "The substantial and omnipresent errors of the Department of Defense are difficult to understand and impossible to assess separately, apart from the determination expressed repeatedly by the President of, in the words of the President himself, 'harm Amazon'," reads the complaint .
Now, the company is asking the Department of Defense to make another evaluation of the proposals presented, since it considers that Trump's intervention made it impossible for him to be chosen as the winner of the contract, according to CNBC.
For its part, the Pentagon spokeswoman, Elissa Smith, denied any external influence in the decision to award the JEDI project and declined to comment further on claims made by Amazon.
The White House declined to comment on this issue.
