The Saks & Fifth Avenue store in the Mall of San Juan will be closing after the Hudson's Bay Company agreed to pay a million to the owners of the mall to terminate the rental agreement.

The closure of Saks & Fifth Avenue is just days after the announcement of the opening of the Metropol restaurant in the same shopping center and several new stores in Plaza las Américas.

Metropol in The Mall of San Juan is located on the first level of its main entrance and has 6,500 square feet distributed in the main hall, a private room for meetings and activities, bar area and terrace. The restaurant has a capacity of 170 people.
The new stores that will join Plaza this year are Reservalife, Jewelz & Co., gef France, Sumaq Silver & Jewelry and Daazh. In the periferal area behind the mall, next to the Pueblo Supermarket, the Burlington store, which had already been announced, will also open.
