LONDON – The British newspaper The Mail on Sunday said it will “vigorously” defend itself against a lawsuit initiated by Prince Henry's wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
The newspaper said Tuesday night that "backs the note" in question, referring to the publication of a letter written by Meghan to his father, from whom he is distanced.
"Specifically, we categorically deny that the Duchess's letter was edited in such a way that its meaning was altered," the tabloid said in a statement.RELATED
The actual civil lawsuit accuses the Mail on Sunday of violation of copyright and data protection law by publishing the letter in an "intrusive" manner, said the law firm Schillings, which takes the case.
Prince Enrique issued a statement in which he attacks the press harshly for the way he treats Meghan.
