Celtics Beat Thunder And Win Their 7th Straight Game

Kemba Walker scored 27 points, Jayson Tatum added 26 and the Boston Celtics beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 112-111 on Sunday for their seventh straight win.

Jaylen Brown finished with 17 units for the Celtics, who scored 16 triples. One of these was from Marcus Smart with 8:19 minutes to play and gave the Celtics the definitive advantage.

Smart also stole the ball from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of Oklahoma City with 5.8 seconds of play to seal the win.

Danilo Gallinari and Gilgeous-Alexander added 24 points each for the Thunder, while bases Chris Paul and Dennis Schröder finished with 22 each. With this defeat, the four-win streak of Oklahoma City ended.

Boston was in front 109-101 after Walker scored his second consecutive triple, but Oklahoma City recovered and had a chance to tie after a Schröder block in a Gordon Hayward header.

But Smart Gilgeous-Alexander snatched the ball before he had a chance to throw a triple to tie the game.
