BEIJING (AP) – For the ninth day in a row, China reported no deaths from COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, and confirmed just six new infections on Friday.
Two of the new cases came from abroad, three others were registered in Heilongjiang, on the border with Russia, and the last one in the business center of Guangdong, in the south of the country.
RELATEDHospitals continue to treat 915 coronavirus patients, 57 of them in serious condition, and 999 others are isolated and monitored for suspected cases or for testing positive without showing symptoms of the disease. The total number of fatalities in the country during the pandemic detected for the first time in the city of Wuhan at the end of December continues to be 4,632 people among 82,804 confirmed infections.
