Chivas: Antonio Briseño Would Miss The Rest Of The Season

When everything seemed to indicate that Guadalajara defender Antonio “el Pollo” Briseño would reappear with the first team, an injury with the Under-20 of the Flock could have ended his season.

Although he had already fulfilled his sanction of four matches, after injuring Giovani Dos Santos, in the National Classic against America, the "Chicken" could be chosen by Luis Fernando Tena for the match against Toluca.

However, the rojiblanco defender was sent with the Under-20 team, where he served as the team captain, although he could not finish the match because he suffered a second-degree sprain.

Briseño could not continue in the second half, and was replaced by Diego Campillo, practically ending the season of the rojiblanco defender, since Chivas needs a miracle to qualify for the Liguilla.

Due to this injury, the “Chicken” will miss the match against Querétaro, and could reappear until the last day, when Chivas receives Veracruz, after the international break for the FIFA Date, from October 9 to 15.
