Colts Beat Texans 31-0 With Big Day From Taylor

HOUSTON (AP) – Jonathan Taylor rushed for 143 yards for two touchdowns and the Indianapolis Colts crushed the Houston Texans 31-0 on Sunday.

The Texans delivered the ball twice in the first quarter and quarterback Tyrod Taylor was benched in the third quarter. Houston (2-10) lost for the ninth time in 10 games.

Jonathan Taylor, who leads the NFL in rushing, has 16 rushing touchdowns on the season, tying the Colts franchise record set by Lenny Moore in 1964. It was the 10th game in a row that Taylor had scored the minus one rushing touchdown, the longest run in the league since LaDainian Tomlinson did it in 18 straight games between the 2004-2005 seasons.

Carson Wentz threw for 158 yards and a score for the Colts (7-6) before being replaced by Sam Ehlinger with five minutes to go in the game and the score was sentenced.

Things went wrong for Houston very quickly with Tyrod Taylor suffering an interception on the first play of the game. It had been initially marked as an incomplete pass, but the Colts requested a review of the play and it was confirmed that Kenny Moore caught the pass before leaving the field.
