Corey Lewandowski, one of President Donald Trump’s campaign advisers, confirmed that he tested positive for COVID-19.
Lewandowski recently traveled to Pennsylvania to assist Donald Trump’s campaign efforts to contest the outcome of the in-state election that President-elect Joe Biden won. The counselor said he thinks he was infected in Philadelphia and is currently showing no symptoms.
Lewandowski participated last Saturday, along with Trump’s lawyer Rudolph Giuliani, in an event in front of a landscaping company in which they launched accusations of electoral fraud without presenting any evidence.RELATED
The advisor was also present at the Election Day party that was held at the White House, which is believed to be the place where other infections occurred.
Several White House and Trump campaign employees have been infected as part of a new outbreak that also includes Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.
Republican and Democratic election officials have publicly said that the general election passed without major mishap.
Similarly, international observers confirmed that they did not detect serious irregularities.
