OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – Stephen Curry sh one with 42 points, including 25 in the third quarter, and the Golden State Warriors escaped the Oklahoma City Thunder arena Wednesday with a shocking 147-109 victory.
Curry made all eight of his field goals in the third quarter, including his six 3-pointers, for his highest total in a period this season.
He was coming off scoring 53 points against the Denver Nuggets on Monday to become the leading scorer in franchise history. And in his next game he hit 11 of 16 triples, as well as 14 of 20 shots overall.
It was his second meeting in a row with at least 10 triples – the second time he has achieved those numbers in consecutive games during his career.
And for the eighth time in a row he contributed at least thirty points. Thus, he gave himself the luxury of rest throughout the fourth period.
