DECREE – President Danilo Medina Dismisses Gideon Santos

The President of the Republic Danilo Medina dismissed Gideon Santos as permanent representative of the country before the Organization of American States (OAS).

According to decree 342-19, the Dominican president appointed Joshua Antinoe Fiallo instead.

Antinoe Fiallo thanked on his Twitter account (@JosueFiallo) for having been designated as a permanent representative of the Dominican Republic to the OAS.

As a public official Santos held the positions of Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs for economic matters and for administrative matters during the period of government 1996-2000; deputy before the Central American Parliament (PARLACEN) from 2004 to 2013; President of the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel) and President of the Inter-American Telecommunications Commission (CITEL / OAS).
