There are 23 questions with six possible answers for each one, which allow you to approach and know, in a percentage way, with which candidate for president you have the greatest ideological affinity.
It is a platform that seeks the citizen to express their vision in relation to a series of issues and, through them, obtain a result that allows them to know if the greatest coincidence, facing October 27, is with Alberto Fernández, Mauricio Macri, Roberto Lavagna, Nicolás del Caño, Juan José Gómez Centurión or José Luis Espert. It is an order of nucleated items around the following thematic axes: development and social security; economic development; citizen security and human rights; democratic strengthening
In order to help discover such affinity, from Infobae and Tecpol, together with the collaboration of the School of Politics and Government of the Argentine Catholic University (UCA), Tu Voto Argentina was developed (click here to enter), which has the objective of placing the electorate within the political approach that represents it, based on the proposals and actions of the different candidates.RELATED
It is obviously not the first experience of this kind. There are several international backgrounds, such as Polimètre (2006, France), Votematch (2007, Netherlands) and EU Profiler (2009, European Parliament), among others. All of them allowed users to know which national or European party was closest to their own political ideas. Very similar function fulfilled in the United States the "candidate match game" of USA Today (2009).
From Tecpol (a project that analyzes, researches and creates tools for the digital society), similar initiatives are also being developed such as El teu Vot, which oriented 140 thousand user-voters during the 2017 Parliament elections in Catalonia; TUVOTO.app, which did the same in the last midterm elections in Florida and Texas; and TUVOTO.eu, which helped Spaniards better understand the complexity of the European Parliament elections held in May of this year.
In Tu Voto Argentina, the aforementioned items emerge and in each of them there is an affirmation and the user has to answer if he agrees or not with the application (with its variants). There is also the option to choose that you do not agree or disagree or select “do not know, do not answer”. Once all inquiries have been answered, the system will yield the final result so that it is known who has the closest political approach, depending on their proposals. All the names of the candidates will be sorted by affinity, taking into account the answers offered by the user.
It is an initiative that uses artificial intelligence, processes a large amount of data and brings the user a final result so that he knows, beyond his prejudices or biases, with what proposals each person would feel better represented.
The creators of this new initiative merged and combined technology with the media and the academy; all at the service of one objective: to contribute to creating a better citizenship and promoting a more genuine participation that helps strengthen democracy
