The president of the United States, Donald Trump, once again celebrated the signing of the trade agreement signed with China last week, and promised "more news", following it.

"One of the magnificent things about our recently signed Trade Agreement with China is that it will bring both countries closer in many different ways," the president wrote in his Twitter account.

“It's great to work with President Xi (Jinping), a man who really loves his country. There will be many more news! ”

"We support the disaster that meant the NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement), which was the worst signed in the last 25 years and caused the loss of one in four jobs in the industrial sector," said the president.

He said that the renegotiation of that trade agreement was a success and that employment in the US market will be favored, as will the result of the trade negotiations with China that concluded in the same week as those of NAFTA.

“China hurt our trade, but nobody thought about doing something about it, until we decided to face the problem. Then China agreed to do things like protect intellectual property, open its financial sector and keep its currency stable, ”he said.

Trump said those and other concessions would never have been possible if he did not resort to the strong tariff increases that affected Chinese imports, but said that "relations with China have never been as good as now."

"The American dream is back," the US president insisted in front of an auditorium full of hundreds of top executives of the most important companies on the planet participating in the 50th edition of the Davos Forum.
