The American president, Donald Trump, questioned the young activist Greta Thunberg on Thursday and called it "ridiculous" that Time magazine chose her as "Personality of the Year." Minutes later, the young environmental defender "responded" in a curious way and without mentioning it.
From his Twitter account, Trump shot: "Greta has to control her anger and go see a good classic movie accompanied by a friend." And he added: "Calm down, Greta, calm down."
Quickly, Thunberg responded by changing his profile on Twitter with the following message: "A teenage girl working on her anger management problem. Currently watching a good classic movie accompanied by a friend."RELATED
The 16-year-old Swedish rose to fame in the last year and a half for organizing school strikes in her country in pursuit of her fight against environmental pollution. Thus, he managed to summon huge crowds to protests and conferences with his intense rhetoric.
It's not the first time Trump criticizes Time for not selecting him. In 2015, she attacked German Chancellor Angela Merkel and accused her of "ruining Germany" after the magazine selected her as the most influential person of that year.
Trump is also the second president who criticizes the young activist. This week, the president of Brazil, Jair Bolsonaro, had been blunt. "Greta said the Indians died because they were defending the Amazon. It is impressive that the press gives space to a brat like that," Bolsonaro told a group of journalists and used the Portuguese term "pirralha."
