Donald Trump Ordered The Navy To Destroy Iranian Ships To Harass US Ships

United States President Donald Trump announced that he ordered the Navy to fire and destroy Iranian ships that “harass” American ships, after the Armed Forces alerted last week of “dangerous” movements by the Revolutionary Guard. from Iran.

“I have given orders to the United States Navy to shoot down and destroy any Iranian warship if they harass our ships at sea,” the president said on Twitter.

The United States increased its presence in the Persian Gulf following the creation in November of a naval coalition after several attacks on oil tankers in the region. After the latest incident, the Persian regime has again called for the withdrawal of US troops from the area.

US ships issued various warnings over bridge-to-bridge radio, bursts of ship horns, and long-range acoustic devices. Iranian ships departed after an hour.

Tehran, in response, complained about the US “Hollywood” version of what happened and accused the US Navy of “unprofessional” behavior in the Gulf.

Tehran accuses Washington of having “blocked” an Iranian ship in early April, displaying “dangerous behavior and ignoring warnings” by the ship. Iranian authorities have insisted that US forces must leave the area, a point recently made by Foreign Minister Mohamad Yavad Zarif in a tweet he called “annual reminder.”

Tensions between the United States and Iran have increased since the United States decided to withdraw in May 2018 and unilaterally from the international nuclear agreement with Iran (concluded in 2015) and reinstate economic sanctions against the Islamic republic.

And they reached a peak with the death in January of the Iranian general Qassem Soleimani, in an attack in Baghdad carried out with an American drone.
