The president of the United States, Donald Trump said he has good strategies to solve the crisis in Venezuela, however, he stressed that guarantees the welfare of Venezuelans.
“We have a good strategy, but we are taking care of people. We are helping, ”Trump told reporters.

He highlighted the role of the Colombian government in supporting Venezuelan migration, and regretted that Venezuela, who was one of the richest countries in the region, "now has no food and no water."
Trump also said that the Venezuelan reality has been complicated since it became a socialist country, however, it does not lose hope that the situation will improve. At the same time, he highlighted his country's efforts on humanitarian aid issues.
“We are supplying a lot of food. We are supplying a lot of water (…) I think we are doing a good job. They have a system that, at the moment, is very broken. We will see what happens, ”he said.
The United States has been one of the most critical countries of the Nicolás Maduro regime, whom they call a dictator and do not recognize as the legitimate authority of Venezuela. On the contrary, they support and form part of the more than 50 countries that recognize Guaidó as interim president.
