The US president, Donald Trump, visited Apple's Mac Pro manufacturing facility on Wednesday, where he met with the company's CEO, Tim Cook.
Trump was accompanied by his daughter Ivanka, as well as the president of the United States Treasury, Steven Mnuchin, and the director of the National Economic Council, Larry Kudlow.
“We are building the Mac Pro, Apple’s most powerful computer, right here in Austin because we believe in the power of American innovation. In December 2018, Apple announced a new billion-dollar campus in North Austin that, once completed, will make the company the largest private employer in the city.
In September of that same year, Trump said that Apple should manufacture products within the country if it wanted to avoid import tariffs from China.
