Donald Trump warned Tehran that it is targeting 52 sites in Iran and will attack them "very soon and very hard" if it acts against US personnel or property.

Through a message on his Twitter account in which he defended the attack in which the United States killed Qasem Soleimani, Trump said that 52 corresponds to the number of hostages that for more than a year had been in the US embassy in Tehran since the end from 1979.

"He pointed to 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 US hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some of a very high level and important for Iran and Iranian culture, and those goals, and Iran itself, WILL BE BEATED VERY QUICK AND VERY HARD. The United States doesn't want any more threats! "Wrote Donald Trump.

Trump considered that the Islamic Republic "is talking boldly about attacking some US targets" in response to Soleimani's death.

Yesterday the president said he had ordered Qasem Soleimani eliminated with the aim of "stopping a war" and not to start any kind of conflict.

The Trump administration has argued that the goal of killing Soleimani was to prevent an "imminent attack" that would have endangered the lives of US military and diplomats in the Middle East.

Iran has promised that it will retaliate and, in response, the United States began sending 3,000 to 3,500 troops to the Middle East, Fox said today.
