“We want security, a strong army, we want to protect our second amendment (to own and bear arms), we want common sense, we want freedom of expression, we want to support the police, the firefighters…” Donald Trump said before thousands of Americans in the American Freedom Tour from Memphis.

The former president participated in the event and slipped the possibility of a return to the White House. “We are going to bounce back and make America a great country again. America first,” he harangued.

In his speech, Trump reviewed the achievements of his administration, highlighted job creation, economic milestones such as tax cuts and recalled that the country is now going through a “serious” situation.

“Look at what is happening, the price of gasoline is rising. There is nothing on the shelves, we do not have formula milk for babies, in my government this did not happen, ”he pointed out. “Everything is falling apart,” he complained.

He stated that the country is crumbling after what he described as “a fraudulent and corrupt election.” And he assured that Joe Biden is in charge of a “catastrophic” government. And he added: “We have the highest inflation in half a century, we are like a third world nation”

Trump also listed his national and international successes: “We destroyed ISIS 100%, modernized our nuclear power, created the space force and achieved the historic Abraham Accords that brought peace to the Middle East.”

According to the former president, many countries in the region “were lining up” to join the agreements, which normalized the relationship between various Arab nations and Israel.

Trump’s intervention in Memphis is the second in less than 48 hours. Yesterday, in a speech to religious conservatives at a sprawling resort near the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, he criticized the efforts of the commission investigating the Capitol storming as a “theatrical production of partisan political fiction” and insisted that he hadn’t done anything wrong.

“What you are seeing is a complete and total lie. A complete and utter fraud,” she said at the Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to the Majority” event. She dismissed the horrific video footage and testimonies presented by the commission, saying they had been selectively edited. And he downplayed the insurrection, saying it was “just a protest that got out of control.”

Trump’s appearance at an event that has long been considered a testing ground for presidential hopefuls comes at a time when he has been actively weighing when he might formally launch another campaign for the White House. According to people familiar with the talks, the debate centers on whether he should make a formal announcement later this summer or, following tradition, wait until after the midterm elections in November.

Although his allies insist that he has not yet made a final decision on his plans, Trump has been publicizing his intentions for months, and today he hinted at it again.

“One of the most urgent tasks facing the next Republican president… I wonder who that will be,” Trump declared at one point, prompting attendees to their feet to cheer him and chant the country’s initials. “Does anyone want me to run for president?” he asked the crowd, sparking more cheers.

“Together we will once again put the United States first,” he repeated several times, amplifying the illusion of his followers.
