France Has More Than 6,500 Coronavirus Deaths

Paris – Coronavirus deaths in France have exceeded 6,500, an increase of more than 1,000 in the last 25 hours.

Authorities have begun to include deaths in nursing homes. The head of France’s national health agency, Jerome Salomon, said 1,416 people have died from COVID-19 in nursing homes, according to reports from 3,000 campuses.

The announcement of the increase in deaths occurred as 160,000 police officers monitor compliance with stringent containment measures in a season that would normally be the start of spring break in France.
