49ers star tight end George Kittle posted a photo of himself in the Jaguars jersey, suggesting a team change
April Fool’s Day jokes have become a social media staple, and this April Fool’s Day, tight end George Kittle made one that surely made more than one San Francisco 49ers fan tremble.
On the social accounts of the two-time Niners Pro Bowl selection, Kittle posted a photo of himself wearing a Jacksonville Jaguars jersey, suggesting that he had been traded to that franchise.
In the post, Kittle wrote, “Next chapter … thank you to all the faithful for your support. #DUUUVAL.”

The Jaguars’ own organization responded to the joke on Twitter with a humorous tone, too, demanding the source of the information about the alleged transfer.

Tony Kahn, co-owner of the Jaguars, also responded to Kittle’s joke, showing an image of the fighter Penta Zero M – one of Kittle’s own favorites – showing his “Zero Fear” sign. In the past, Kittle has used that fighter gesture to celebrate his own big plays, and received a fighter’s mask as a gift.

Kittle signed a five-year, $ 75 million contract on Aug. 13 of last year that makes him the highest-paid tight end in the NFL in terms of average annual salary.
The first-team All-Pro for the 2019 season, however, was limited to just eight games in 2020 due to injuries. He finished the year with 48 receptions for 634 yards and two touchdowns, with the Niners placing last in their division with a 6-10 mark, a year after winning the National Conference and appearing in Super Bowl LIV.
