Google Hires Puerto Rican Javier Soltero To Lead G Suite

Puerto Rican entrepreneur Javier Soltero was recruited by Google to direct G Suite, after leaving his position as corporate vice president of Microsoft at the end of 2018.

“I joined Google to lead their G Suite team! The opportunity to work with this team on products that have such a profound impact on the lives of people around the world is a true and rare privilege. I'm excited to start working, ”Single announced on his Twitter account.

G Suite is the set of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools that Google has developed for the business environment.

Prior to this recruitment, Single was leading the development of Microsoft's digital assistant, Cortana, and before that he led the team dedicated to the Outlook mail application.

The Puerto Rican joined the Microsoft executive team in 2014 after that company acquired its $ 200 million Acompli startup.

Even from his executive duties in California, Single remains connected to the local ecosystem as an advisor to training organizations such as Grupo Guayacán.
