(WAB NEWS) – White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham leaves the job without informing the press.
CNN learned that he will return to the east wing as chief of staff to First Lady Melania Trump, while President Donald Trump’s new chief of staff Mark Meadows shakes up the communications team in the west wing.
Kayleigh McEnany, who served as a spokesperson for the Trump 2020 campaign, will replace Grisham as White House press secretary, according to two sources familiar with the situation.RELATED

Meadows also chose Alyssa Farah, the current Defense Department spokeswoman, as director of strategic communications, the two sources said. Ben Williamson, a Meadows staff member, will become the senior communications advisor.
Farah has played various roles in the Trump administration. After quitting her job as a Speaker of the House Freedom Chamber to become Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary, she moved to the Pentagon last August. This will be his first position in the west wing. Farah has been close to Meadows since her days at Freedom Caucus.
Grisham, who still talks to First Lady Melania Trump on a daily basis, returns to where she spent most of her time in administration, the East Wing. She is replacing Lindsay Reynolds, who resigned as the First Lady’s Chief of Staff earlier this week to spend time with her family.

“I remain honored to serve both the President and the First Lady in the administration,” Grisham said in a statement. “My replacements will be announced in the next few days and I will stay in the west wing to help with a smooth transition for as long as it takes.”
