Indianapolis Homicides Equal Previous Year’s Record

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – A man was shot and killed early Sunday in Indianapolis, bringing the city to 215 homicides so far this year, the same record it suffered in all of 2020, the Indianapolis Star reported.

Police went to a home at 2 am and found a man shot to death there.

The activists had expressed hopes of having at least 72 hours crime-free in the city.

“We continue to convey the message of peace, we continue to harbor hope,” said Ron Gee of the Cease Fire Indy group.

The Indianapolis police asked the community to share any information they have about the event.
