Following the trend of the dark mode, the Instagram social network has informed users how they can configure it, as long as they have devices with iOS 13 and Android 10 operating systems.
This Tuesday the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, ad through your Twitter account that it is not a function of the application, but it is necessary to activate the dark mode native to the operating system.
That is, for Instagram to adopt the dark mode you have to activate that function on the mobile device itself. For this it is necessary for the user to go to 'Settings', then 'Screen' and finally choose the desired option in the phone menu.
Previously, Google had announced that Android 10 comes with a dark mode available throughout the system, and that version will enable the aforementioned mode in any third-party application that allows it.
The dark mode offers several advantages, among them it helps reduce tension in the user's eyes at night or in low light conditions. In addition, it contributes to battery saving on phones with OLED screens.
