DETROIT (AP) – Reggie Jackson jumped 2.3 seconds from the end against his previous team, and the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Detroit Pistons 100-98 on Wednesday night for their seventh win.
The Clippers rallied from an 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter, despite lacking several key players. Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, Serge Ibaka, Patrick Beverley and Marcus Morris were absent.
The Los Angeles team trailed by five points in the last minute, but Terance Mann made the score 98-95 thanks to a dunk. Jerami Grant delivered a ball near the middle of the court and Jackson hit a triple that evened the game with 19 seconds to go.
Amir Coffey made a steal on the next serve. After a pause, Jackson dribbled until the clock nearly ran out and hit his shot.
Killian Hayes missed a triple at the other end of the court.
