The federal judge who is bringing the case against Michael Flynn, the former national security advisor to President Donald Trump, set January 28, 2020 as the date Flynn will receive his sentence.
Flynn had pleaded guilty to lying in the context of the investigation into the alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
On December 18, 2018, the sentencing process had been postponed at the request of Flynn's defense.RELATED
The defense's request was framed in what they considered as "possible continuity of cooperation" on the part of their defendant, especially in the case that was initiated in a court in Virginia and that involves a business partner of Flynn.
Even so, the judge dismissed the request to add more evidence to the case, considering that it had already been recorded or was not considered relevant.
