Kennesaw Authorities Arrest Gunman On Kennesaw State University Premises

Kennesaw, Georgia – Kennesaw State University announced Sunday that normal activities can now resume after the institution north of Atlanta urged everyone on campus to take shelter because an “armed intruder” had been detected.

In a message posted on Twitter, the university indicated that a “suspect has been apprehended and there are no longer any threats to either of the two campuses” it has.

Previously, university authorities had reported that the individual was seen near the Machinist Lodge on the Marietta campus at approximately 2:40 p.m. The university is located in Marietta, about 20 miles north of Atlanta.
