Von Miller, linebacker for the Denver Broncos, posted on Twitter on Thursday that he tested negative for coronavirus, two weeks after announcing that he had been diagnosed with the virus.
On April 16, Miller announced his diagnosis and said he had decided to go public to emphasize that anyone could be affected by the virus.
The defensive was under the care of the doctors of the Broncos and remained isolated. Eight times selected for the Pro Bowl, Miller told ESPN that he had tried to take every possible precaution in the past month, but still contracted the virus.
RELATEDMiller, who has asthma, said he decided to receive the test after he started coughing six days earlier and that his inhaler “was not working as it regularly did.”
“(The coronavirus) is very, very serious,” said Miller, 31. “It is my job to keep my body in great shape and I feel like my body is. If I can get out of this, anyone can. ”
