Los Angeles Rams Sign Baker Mayfield Via Waiver Process

THOUSAND OAKS — The Los Angeles Rams have claimed quarterback Baker Mayfield via waivers, the team announced Tuesday.

The Carolina Panthers released Mayfield on Monday, something interim coach Steve Wilks said was a mutual agreement between the parties. Wilks said Mayfield asked to be released after learning he would not be Carolina’s starting or backup quarterback in the future.
