Mexico City – Mexican authorities made arrests in the case of last week's murders of nine women and children with US nationality and who are attributed to an organized crime command in the north of the country, said Security Secretary Alfonso Durazo
The official did not reveal how many people were arrested or provided information about the criminal group to which they belong.
The agency did not respond to requests for more information.RELATED
The ambush in the state of Sonora, bordering the United States, occurred on November 4. Authorities suspect that gunmen from a drug cartel were responsible for the attack.
The victims had dual citizenship and belonged to Mormon communities that are not affiliated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
