Washington – Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary Katie Miller is the second person in the White House to test positive for the coronavirus.
President Donald Trump practically confirmed in a meeting with Republican lawmakers that she is the Pence spokeswoman, calling her by name and saying that she is an official in charge of press affairs.
Several media corroborated that it is Miller, who is married to one of Trump’s top advisers, Stephen Miller, best known for his recommendations to tighten American public policy on immigration.RELATED
Miller has interacted with journalists at the White House this week. This is the second case in two days of a White House official.
On Thursday, the White House confirmed that a personal aide to President Donald Trump tested positive for the novel virus.
That personal assistant was described as a member of the U.S. Navy serving Trump, such as bringing him food and other chores.
Trump, Pence, and other top government officials have shied away from wearing face masks during their public appearances, including during briefings by their coronavirus task force almost daily.
