Mitch McConnell To Vote To Acquit Donald Trump In His Second Impeachment

Washington, DC – The leader of the Republican Senate Block, Mitch McConnell, will vote for the acquittal of Donald Trump in the second impeachment trial of the former president.

This was reported by a source close to McConnell who was not authorized to speak publicly about the decision and did so on condition of anonymity.

The news about McConnell’s decision was known on Saturday in what is expected to be the last day of the impeachment of Trump, accused of inciting the deadly assault on the Capitol on January 6.

This afternoon the prosecutors of the House of Representatives and the defense of the former president are supposed to present their final arguments. However, prosecutors have requested to bring witnesses, which would prolong the process to dates that are impossible to specify.
