This Monday, the president of the United States, Donald Trump received the champions of the recent World Series 2019, the Washington Nationals, at the White House. The event was marked for a moment between pitcher Stephen Strasburg, named Most Valuable Player of the Fall Classic, and the first American president.
RELATEDDuring the ceremony, Strasburg gave a speech, and at the end, he turned around to hug manager Dave Martinez without realizing that he ignored the greeting of the American president.
The video began to circulate on social networks, and hours later, the winning pitcher of Games 2 and 6 of the World Series, shared on his Twitter account the video accompanied by the phrase “Fake News”, one of the most used expressions during Trump's administration.
A later video shows that the now free agent did not realize Trump's gesture, and after receiving Martinez's hug, "Stras" greeted Trump and his wife, Melania.
