Washington – The Florida Department of Health confirmed today, Thursday, more than 300 positive cases of coronavirus and eight deaths.

Most of the 328 known cases are from South Florida, primarily in Broward (80) and Miami-Dade (77) counties.

In Orange, which is based in Orlando, and Osceola, which includes Kissimmee counties, 11 and eight cases are known, respectively.

Florida suspended elementary and high school classes at least until April 15. Meanwhile, universities will continue their semester only through online classes.

Bars and nightclubs are closed.

Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer said that in his city, restaurants should limit customers by half, set tables six feet apart and limit groups to 10 or less.

Many restaurants have decided to operate just to order takeout or make home deliveries.

“COVID-19 is one of the biggest challenges that our community has faced and every day, every hour and every minute the news is constantly changing; but there is one thing that stays the same, we have to stop the spread, ”said Mayor Dyer.
