The divorce between the Houston Rockets and their stars James Harden and Russell Westbrook seems complete. The two players are seeking a transfer to exit the franchise, although at the moment the franchise owner, Tilman Fertitta, has no intention of entering into negotiations. At least for Harden.

The relationship between the Texan businessman and the two players has exploded into a thousand pieces and everything seems to have a clear trigger: Donald Trump. According to Ric Bucher of the Bleacher Report, Fertitta’s support for the still president of the United States has been the main reason for the two NBA stars to want to leave the Rockets.

“According to I have heard the strong support of Tilman Fertitta to the republican party and the donations that he has made is one of the factors that has contributed to the dissatisfaction of these two players. And they are not the only members of the squad who want to leave,” he assured the journalist: “There is a riot because the players see in Fertitta someone who supports the current president.”

Harden would have already asked for a trade to the Rockets. Although the player and the franchise cannot speak until the market opens next Friday, ‘La Barba’ will have already sent messages his interest because Houston allows him to leave the team. A request that could take ‘La Barba’ to Brooklyn, Philadelphia or Milwaukee.

For his part, Westbrook also wants to get out of the Rockets. At the moment no aspiring team has asked about the NBA MVP in 2017, but his name has already sounded strongly in the surroundings of the Charlotte Hornets and the New York Knicks.
