One Of The Main Drivers Of The Political Trial Of Donald Trump Died

The office of MP Elijah Cummings confirmed the death in a brief statement sent to the media, picked up by the Europa Press news agency, stating that the death occurred this morning at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Cummings, with more than two decades of experience in the House of Representatives, served as president of the Supervision and Reform Commission and had become one of the main drivers of the possible "impeachment" of Trump, with whom he faced publicly.

This week, Cummings had not returned to work because he had to undergo a medical procedure that, it was hoped, would keep him away for about a week.

Although they did not transcend the details of how his death was triggered, the Democratic congressman had already been treated for heart and knee problems.
