Félicien Kabuga, one of the most wanted fugitives from the 1994 Rwandan genocide, was arrested this Saturday in Paris, the Mechanism for International Criminal Courts (MTPI) said in a statement.

Kabuga was arrested by the French authorities thanks to a joint investigation with the MTPI Prosecutor’s Office and he is expected to be transferred to the Netherlands in the coming days, where he will appear before the international court in The Hague.
