Pacers Beat Wizards To End Losing Streak

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – Domantas Sabonis finished with 30 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to help the Indiana Pacers end a four-game losing streak with a 116-110 win over the Washington Wizards on Monday night.

Caris LeVert had 19 points and Malcolm Brogdon added 17 and eight assists for the Pacers, who had lost five straight in the series, including a loss in play-in round game last season.

Star guard Bradley Beal scored 34 points to lead the Wizards, who have lost three in a row and four of the last five. Beal appeared to have injured his left shoulder early in the fourth quarter during a fumble for a loose ball, but came back after a timeout and continued until the end of the game.

Washington was condemned for his poor game. And after Oshae Brissett’s 3-pointer late in the first quarter gave Indiana a 28-18 lead, the Wizards couldn’t get closer than eight points until the final minute.

The Wizards cut the deficit to nine points at the start of the second quarter, but Indiana was back in with a double-digit lead. The Pacers held that lead for the rest of the first half and the entire third quarter.
