The director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, will begin a “modified quarantine” after having had a “low risk” exposure with a White House official infected with covid-19, WAB NEWS reported.
Fauci is the third high-ranking member of the national coronavirus task force who will take precautions after being exposed to the virus. In his case, he was not close to the sick person, according to the chain report.
The doctor’s quarantine will consist of working mainly from home and constantly wearing a mask for 14 days. The covid-19 test will also be done daily. He said that it was done on Friday and it came out negative. He may go to his office or testify at the Capitol, if requested, but with precautions, the report said.
