Central Florida is preparing for President Donald Trump's visit on Thursday to an event just by invitation at The Villages.
The president will address a reserved group of followers at the Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center, which is 49 miles northwest of Orlando.
White House employees said the president will talk about Medicare and sign an executive order calling for further privatization.RELATED
Event organizers will place large screens outside the venue on Thursday, so people can see the president's speech from outside.
More than 120,000 people live in The Villages, which is 55 percent Republican. The community is primarily in Sumter County, which supported Trump with 68% of the vote in 2016, compared with 49% statewide.
The White House selected each of the approximately 1,000 guests from a list provided by local elected officials and party leaders, said county party president John Temple.
