Washington (AFP). The president of the United States, Donald Trump, said Monday that he will not allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon, one day after Tehran announced its decision to ignore the limits imposed on its uranium enrichment program.
"Iran will never have the nuclear weapon," President Trump, who has multiplied threatening messages regarding the Islamic Republic after death, in a US bombing in Baghdad, by Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, wrote in a capitalized letter.RELATED

Trump withdrew the United States in 2018 from a nuclear agreement reached in 2015 between the Islamic Republic and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council (China, the United States, France, the United Kingdom and Russia), in addition to Germany.

In that pact, Iran had agreed to drastically reduce its nuclear activities to show that they had no military purpose, in exchange for lifting part of the international economic sanctions that stifled its economy.
Tehran announced, however, on Sunday that it is ready to fully honor its international commitments, should Washington change its policies.
