Red Sox: The Time They Almost Traded Manny Ramírez For Alex Rodríguez In MLB

Below we recall the time the Red Sox almost traded Manny Ramírez for Alex Rodríguez in Major League Baseball (MLB – Major Leagues).

With the MLB hiatus due to the Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19) we are remembering the great moments of Major League Baseball.

Well, it had to be about to be great, when the Red Sox were about to change Manny Ramírez for Alex Rodríguez.

It was in the 2003 MLB offseason, specifically in December 2003, when the Red Sox were about to trade Manny Ramirez and Jon Lester (rookie) to the Texas Rangers for Alex Rodriguez.

Imagine that change, it would have had the same A-Rod effect in the Red Sox as the Super Manny or Ramírez in the Rangers especially in the 2010 and 2011 World Series if he had been with them.

We will never know that, we will only imagine it, but comparing what Manny Ramírez’s career was with that of Alex Rodríguez in the MLB postseason, we consider that A-Rod would not have had the same impact as the Super Manny in the Red Sox, but yes Ramírez in Texas and what do you consider ?.
