Tokyo, Dec. 4 (EFE) .- The Renault Nissan Mitsubishi alliance announced Wednesday the appointment of Hadi Zablit as the new secretary general, responsible for coordinating joint projects under the authority of the president of Renault.
The election takes place after the operational council of the alliance decided to create this position during a meeting held last week in France and aimed at improving the management of common projects after the departure of the previous head of the conglomerate, Carlos Ghosn.
Zablit, born in 1970 and with Lebanese and French dual citizenship, has previously held the position of senior vice president of the alliance and executive director of the tripartite joint venture to develop automated driving services.RELATED
The new secretary general will "coordinate and facilitate the main projects" within the alliance with the objective of "accelerating business efficiency" in the three companies, the group said in a statement.
Zablit will report these works to the operational council of the conglomerate and to the general directors of the three companies, under the wing of the president of the alliance and Renault, Jean-Dominique Senard.
His appointment is a new step in the process of renovating the dome of the tripartite and the member companies, after the dismissal of Thierry Bolloré as CEO of Renault in October and the designation that same month of Makoto Uchida as the new president of Nissan, all this after the power vacuum and the destabilization of the alliance caused by the fall of Ghosn.
