Republicans Approve Their Rules For The Trump Trial Early In The Morning | Politics | USA Edition

The Senate of the United States approved today at dawn with the sole support of the Republican majority the rules for the political trial against the president, Donald Trump, after a debate of amendments – all rejected – of almost 13 hours with which the Democrats intended to include evidence and witnesses to the process.

With 53 votes in favor and 47 against, the rules mark that both the Democratic accusation and Trump's defense will have each 24 hours divided into three days for their allegations, which are scheduled to begin this next noon.
