Sean Doolittle, Of Nationals, Will Not Go To Meet Donald Trump In The White House – Other Sports – Sports

The Washington Nationals, World Series champions, will be visiting this Monday at the White House, where they will be welcomed by the president of the United States, Donald Trump.

However, one of the players, pitcher Sean Doolittle, expressed his refusal to conduct this meeting, for his positions against the president.

"I don't go to the White House because I don't want to share with someone who talks like that. My wife and I advocate inclusion and acceptance, we have worked with refugees, humble people who come from those ´letrine´ countries. I simply cannot be there with that man, "he said in his social networks.

The Nationals will be the third major league team that meets Trump after winning a title. The Astros did it in 2017, and Boston in 2018.

Trump attended the fifth game of the series, last Sunday, and the crowd of 'Nationals Park' received him with boos when he was shown on the video screen.
