Smaller Than The Smart Fortwo: This Is Toyota's New "ultra-compact" Mini Car (PHOTO)

The Japanese car giant Toyota has announced that it will present its new mini-car named Ultra-compact BEV (initials in English of Electric Vehicle to Battery) during the 2019 Tokyo Motor Show, which starts in the Japanese capital on October 24. Meanwhile, the launch of this model for sale in Japan is scheduled for the winter of 2020.

According to a statement published Thursday on the automotive company's website, its new car is 2.49 meters long (20 centimeters shorter than the Smart Fortwo EQ), 1.29 meters wide and 1.55 meters high . This electric vehicle has a limited speed of 60 kilometers per hour and has a range of 100 kilometers. The battery recharge time – using a 200 volt charging system – is five hours.
